About Andy

One of my favorite movies is the 1987 classic Princess Bride. Actor Mandy Patinkin plays a character named Inigo Montoya, who dedicates his whole life to finding and killing the six-fingered man who murdered his father.

Throughout the movie he confronts people with the now-famous line, “Hello. My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die.” At the end of the movie, however, after he has finally succeeded in finding and killing the murderer, he utters another unforgettable line: “You know, it is very strange. I have been in the revenge business so long. Now that it is over, I don’t know what to do with the rest of my life.”

In 38 years as a financial advisor, I have seen plenty of men and women contemplate the changeover into retirement and realize that they have the same script as Inigo Montoya: They don’t know what to do with the rest of their lives. I could help them plan financially for retirement—but to what kind of retirement life are they headed? And what quality? Without a sense of purpose, they would slowly decline until they lost their sense of significance. It became my mission years ago to invest myself in helping people solve their “Inigo Montoya problem” in their later years.

I sought out my own coaches in this process to help me study how we can take the best of who we are and what we love, and create an exciting future that will meet that deepest need for staying significant as we age. Then, I took all this wisdom I had gleaned and joined it with my financial knowledge to create a unique process for making my own later years my Encore years. Now I have a life plan that makes me excited to get out of bed every morning and a money plan that lets me sleep at night.

My biggest passion is to help you take this unique process and apply it to your life so that you can enjoy the best of yourself in retirement. I want you to have a roadmap to a quality future—however you define that—and the peace of mind that your money will be there to help you do it.

That’s my unique Encore future. I can’t wait to help you discover yours.
